Due to the success of the Eee PC, several manufacturers want, too, to enter the market for ultra-cheap laptops. The first of them, Dell plans to market and, by the end of summer, the Dell Inspiron Mini .

As its name suggests, this is an Inspiron but smaller. Are screen has a size of 9 inches, which corresponds with the latest version of the Eee PC. To correct the slight defect of the keyboard of the Eee PC, which has small buttons, Dell decided to remove the function keys (F1, ..., F12). 12 keys with less, they were able to increase the size.

In terms of technical characteristics, is unknown at this time very little, except that the Inspiron Mini should have 3 USB ports, card reader, an Ethernet port, a VGA output and of course WiFi.

In terms of system operation, it will surely be an XP ... Personally, I would see a small yet well over Linux!

Finally, no official release date or price, for now. But to hope to compete with the Eee PC will require a low price!

To be continued ...
