I know you will say: "Another article on the Eee PC! ". Like you, I have read hundreds of articles touting the merits of this new ultra-portable. Some knowingly, else just to participate in the buzz and hang a few visitors to the passage.

But now that the wave has passed (only to return with the 900 version?), I want to write these few lines. Indeed detours in an aisle of my favorite mall, here I come across the beast , self-service.
Neither one nor two, I jumped on him and started to fiddle around a bit.

First, the screen is not great, I think it's better to wait for the 900 version of the Eee PC that promises a slightly wider screen. Second criticism, do not have hands to type lumberjack because the keys are really small ... logical given the size of the PC.

Otherwise, as regards OS and software , the model I tested working under Linux. I launched OpenOffice , which opens very quickly, the text is small, but it is largely good for touching up a file at the last minute. The webcam works fine, videos are fluids when playing, short, despite its small size its performance quite suitable for use in "everyday".

Because of noise around, I was not able to judge the audio quality, or Wi-Fi since it was not avaialble in the mall.

Finally I found the interface pleasing and ergonomic. I personally would not buy it because I have a laptop that suits me, but I think the 900 version will be coming really worthwhile version.

I put a 7/10!
