Here's a little trick to reset the username and password in Ubuntu :
- Start the PC by choosing "recovery mode".
- If you have forgotten the login type ls / home to view it.
- Then type passwd username replacing username with your login.
- Enter the new password.
- Restart the PC (you can enter the command shutdown-r now)
Of course, do not attempt the manipulation of a system that does not belong to you ;-)
