October 22, 2009, we are!
Although I am no longer very active on this blog, I could not miss the event ( IT ) in 2009, namely the release of commercially Windows 7 !
So you are done, you'll be able to get this new version in all stores (IT, retail, etc.)..
I had already introduced the beta of Windows 7 , but this time I can give you a little feedback, since I have the chance to work with this release for several weeks.
Well, promises kept!
This Windows is stable, functional, fast, attractive ... and even light enough! Whether you're running XP or Vista, it worth moving to Seven.
I have not met the notorious inconsistency of material, since even if the drivers for Windows 7 are not those of Vista working perfectly. I had a trouble with a famous burning software, including Nero 7.5, which seems incompatible *, but a higher version works perfectly.
So you worry, Microsoft did not bribed to lay this article, I'm just very pleased with this new OS ... and I have not forgotten Linux in history, as I look forward to seeing you on 29 this month for the release of Ubuntu 9.10!
* (Installation and uninstallation that plants can not avoid the experience ... unless you want to uninstall the program by hand blow to delete keys in the registry)

Apparently he is going cardboard ... Anyway I think that the Redmond company is currently biting their fingers thinking the results generated by Vista compared to those expected ...: S
I personally have Windows 7 64-bit version.
Vis-à-vis Windows XP or Vista, there is no thinking: more stable, faster and more convenient.
You just get used to the new taskbar ... ^ ^
I feels, papygeek said it is better to stay with XP for example. Especially it should take at least 4 gigs of ram right?
Not at all. My PC only has 2GB and it works well.
We must tell you that between Vista and Seven a sacred value was made. Windows 7 is light and powerful at a time. The whole point lies in the fact that during installation, Seven detects the power of the PC and configured according to best use. If the PC is low, Windows will limit frills graphics (Aero) to focus on the essentials.
To tell you in a virtual machine configured with 1GB of ram, graphics card without the time, it works well. I even know a friend who runs the thing on a eeePC-like (with an Atom 270 and 1GB of RAM)!
