October 22, 2009, we are!
Although I am no longer very active on this blog, I could not miss the event ( computer ) of 2009, which is the removal of trade in Windows 7 !
So you are done, you'll be able to get this new version in all stores (computer, retail, etc..).
I had already introduced the beta version of Windows 7 , but this time I can give you a little experience, since I have the chance to work with the final few weeks.
Well, promises kept!
This Windows is stable, functional, fast, aesthetics ... even light enough! Whether you're in XP or Vista, it's really worth it to switch to Seven.
I have not encountered any known hardware incompatibilities, since even if the drivers for Windows 7 do not exist, those of Vista working perfectly. I had a trouble with a famous burning software, ie Nero 7.5, which seems incompatible *, but a higher version works perfectly.
So do not worry, Microsoft did not bribed to release this article, I'm just very happy with this new OS ... and I have not forgotten Linux in history, because I'll meet you on the 29th of this month for the release of Ubuntu 9.10!
* (Installation and uninstallation impossible that plants do not experience ... unless you want to uninstall the program manually to blow removal of keys in the registry)

Apparently there gonna be a hit ... In any case I think the Redmond company is now biting their fingers, thinking of the results generated by Vista compared to those expected ...: S
I personally Windows 7 in 64 bit.
Vis-à-vis Windows XP or Vista, there is nothing to think: more stable, faster and more convenient.
You just get used to the new taskbar ... ^ ^
I feel, papygeek says it is better to remain under xp for example. Especially it must take at least 4 gigs of ram right?
Not at all. My PC only has 2GB and it works well.
You have to tell you that between Vista and Seven a sacred value has been operated. Windows 7 is light and powerful at once. Any interest lies in the fact that during installation, Seven power of the PC detects and configures itself according to optimal use. If the PC is low, limited frills Windows graphics (Aero) to focus on the essentials.
To tell you in a virtual machine configured with 1GB of RAM, no graphics card then, it works well. I even know one friend who runs the thing on a eeePC-like (with an Atom 270 and 1GB of RAM)!
