UNetbootin is a utility for Windows and Linux that allows you to create USB Linux installation (it replaces the traditional CD).
Many distributions are available, including the big names (Ubuntu, Fedora, FreeBSD, ..) and other lesser known but no less excellent ( Mint Linux , Frugalware, ...).
Here's a video (in English, but there has to follow the image), which shows how to do this with a few clicks:
Have fun!

Absolutely great when you create a bootable key for Windows, but absolutely impossible to implement from Linux. I mean the installation on linux ok, ok key creation, boot from the key ok, but then nothing ... Why?
Configuration:
Ubuntu 8.10
That is to say "nothing"? If you boot the key is that it works right?
You mean the OS does not start?
Hello Etan,
Thank you for your answer.
My pc starts well on the key that launches Linux Mint or Ubuntu (the distro I've tried 2 via Unetbootin), but after a few seconds, everything stops. When I perform the same operation with a key created from Unetbootin Windows, it works properly.
I looked on various forums, it seems that the information has been confirmed Unetbootin works better on Windows than on Linux ...
Notice to Linux users who want to improve a little marvel not fully operational ...
